DebRA of America’s 14th Annual Mats Wilander Tennis & Golf Benefit presented by Mölnlycke Health Care was held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the prestigious Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York. Tennis guests spent the morning playing and learning from host and former #1 player in the world, Mats Wilander and other tennis professionals – while foursomes hit the links in the afternoon for 18-holes of challenging golf. Attendees of the evening fundraiser enjoyed a cocktail reception, dinner, awards ceremony for our 2012 Honorees (Courtney Roth & Philip Reilly, M.D., J.D.), a $200,000 dollar DebRA check presentation to Dr. Jakub Tolar, M.D., Ph.D. and a silent & live auction led by Alan Kalter, the voice of Late Show with David Letterman – with exciting prizes, including on-field New York Giants tickets, tickets to the MTV Video Music Awards and a foursome at Pine Valley Golf Club.
Proceeds from the event benefit DebRA of America, the only national not for profit that supports the research for a cure and treatments for, while providing services and programs to those who suffer from the rare and painful genetic disorder, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) — The Worst Disease You've Never Heard Of.™
