EB Management & Addressing Gaps in Care for Adults with EB
Adults living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) have unique healthcare needs, yet access to adult providers with experience in EB can be limited. Understanding these gaps—and the health and care priorities that matter most to adults with EB—is important to improving care throughout adulthood.
In this presentation, Emily S. Gorell, DO, MS (University of Colorado); Neda Nikbakht, MD (Emory University); Braden Candela, MD (Columbia University); and Lucy Pol, BS (Gannon University) discuss adult EB care, including access to care, recommended screenings, pain management, new treatments and genetic testing, and findings from a survey exploring the priorities of adults living with EB.
