Strong, healthy bones are important throughout life and depend on many factors, including nutrition, physical activity, hormones, and overall health. For people with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), challenges related to nutrition, inflammation, and mobility can also affect bone health, with those living with Junctional EB and Recessive Dystrophic EB at greater risk for low bone mass and fractures.

In this presentation, Anna L. Bruckner, MD, MSCS, explains the factors that contribute to healthy bone development, why bone health can be affected in EB, and strategies to help prevent and manage bone complications.
